This Friday night, six hopeful acts from Ireland will perform on The Late Late Show
On the Eurovision special, Tubridy said the following:"This Friday is going to have a big, bright and sparkly line up of acts. Big stars, big numbers and big expectations because this could well be Ireland’s chance to reclaim their title as Eurovision winners. So, I would say get ready to party and join us for what should be quite the extravaganza.
"Ireland will compete in the first half of the first semi-final in Liverpool on Tuesday, 9 May, with another semi-final taking place on Thursday, 11 May, before the final on Saturday, 13 May. Currently, Ireland still holds the record for most Eurovision wins, with a tally of seven victories at the contest, although the most recent win was with Eimear Quinn performing"The Voice" back in 1996.
