A Welsh Water spokesperson apologised for the outage, which was caused by sub-zero temperatures followed by warmer weather creating water pipes to thaw and burst.
They said: "Such disruption and inconvenience is rare, and our teams worked tirelessly to restore supplies as quickly as possible." They added: "We again would like to say how sorry we are for the inconvenience that was caused and hope our goodwill payments reflects this to our customers." The households in Ceredigion aren't the only ones in line for a payment following water supply issues.It comes after water regulator Ofwat found 11 suppliers had "fallen short" of standards.How else can I save money on my water bills?Reducing the amount of time you spend in the shower is one.
