PEORIA, AZ — Peoria Police Department says three people are dead after a serious crash near 107th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.Officials say a Jeep was headed southbound when it was struck by a Mazda that was making a left turn.
The driver and front passenger of the Mazda, identified as 36-year-old Elizabeth Simpson and 31-year-old Jace Hochstetler, both died at the scene. Four kids were also in the vehicle, including a 14-year-old girl who died at the hospital. Two other kids suffered life-threatening injuries and a third child suffered minor injuries.The driver of the Jeep reportedly suffered minor injuries.The area of 107th Avenue from Deer Valley Road to Quail Avenue remained closed into the Monday morning commute.
