The Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland (ASAI) has reprimanded three influencers for violating advertising guidelines. Siobhan O'Hagan, Julie Haynes, and Sarah Burke were found guilty of promoting products without adequate disclosure or clarity. The ASAI emphasized the importance of transparency and proper labeling in influencer marketing.
THREE influencers have been rapped for breaking Advertising Standards Authority rules when posting online.

One of which said they considered the ad to be misleading as the influencer was using a filter while applying the advertisers’ product on herself. The other was that the ad had not been identified correctly as the disclosure wording was barely visible.
The complainant considered the post was not clear that it was advertising material as the word ‘AD’ was hidden at first and it was only by clicking on the word ‘more’ that it became visible. Sarah said the main purpose of the post in question had been to showcase their curly blow dry and outfit, the other content had been created around that.
