NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) said the doctor responsible was suspended in November last year and has since left the health board.

Three patients given colonoscopies by an NHS doctor died and three others suffered harm after they failed to receive the appropriate follow-up treatment, a health board has admitted. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde carried out a clinical review of all those who had a colonoscopy performed by the consultant between 2020 and 2022.
