A really encouraging opening evening of the season as Watford beat Sheffield United 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
As defenders chased back his attempt to square the ball to Emmanuel Dennis looked like it had failed but the ball ran behind the covering Blades players, and Dennis was able to retrieve and moved it out to Sarr on the right. The best chance fell to Pedro, as he met Ken Sema’s floated cross with a header that the keeper held.
However, they seldom looked able to threaten the Watford lead, and the Hornets saw out the six minutes of stoppage time with some comfort.
