Mark Bridgeford, 50, admitted violent disorder
A thug who launched a ‘hammer fist’ at a lone black man during unrest in Greater Manchester has pleaded guilty to violent disorder.
Danielle Allanson, prosecuting, said: “The defendant was a significant and lead part in the incident. His role is he can be seen using a hammer fist motion thrown towards the victim whilst he was being attacked by others." Mitigating, Elizabeth Dyson said Bridgeford handed himself in as soon as he was made aware that he was wanted by the police. She said that his 18-year-old daughter passed away on August 4 2023, and so he had gone into the city centre to buy items and flowers to put on her grave.
