Brittney Griner has been taken to a penal colony in the Russian region of Mordovia, her legal team and agent confirmed Thursday. A timeline of the WNBA star’s detainment:

All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist, was taken into custody at a Moscow-area airport on Feb. 17 when authorities alleged they found vape cartridges that contained hashish oil in her luggage. Like many WNBA players, Griner played in Russia during the WNBA offseason. She was returning in February to rejoin UMMC Ekaterinburg in the Euroleague, her Russian team, after a FIBA break.

Griner’s fans, teammates and the WNBA have shown an outpouring of support for the center throughout her detainment. Though much of Griner’s detainment has been shrouded in secrecy, here’s a timeline of the events that have been reported:Brittney Griner has been taken to a penal colony in the Russian region of Mordovia, her legal team and agent confirmed. The WNBA star is at Female Penal Colony IK-2 in Yavas, about 300 miles southeast of Moscow, although the Russian government has not notified the U.S.

Griner’s agent, Lindsay Kagawa Colas, confirmed their Russian legal team saw Griner at penal colony IK-2 in Mordovia. “Despite the fact she is alone and now nearing her ninth month in detention separated from her loved ones, she is trying to stay strong,” Colas said in a statement. “At this time, we will not be sharing any further details, but want to express our deepest thanks to the Biden Administration, the Richardson Center and to everyone who has reached out to offer words of encouragement to her.
