They had a Waterford-themed wedding and used The Sunday Game theme tune brideoftheweek weddings
Our reception was in the Park Hotel, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. We are both big hurling fans and were set on having our wedding in Co. Waterford. We walked into our meal to “The Sunday Game” theme tune, which kept in line with our theme. In Ricky’s speech, he read out poems that I had written for my parents as part of a module that I completed in college. They were about how much my parents mean to me/ inspire me.
Our first dance song was “Perfect”, by Ed Sheeran. We chose it because it is such a beautiful song and the lyrics are relevant to us as a couple. We were young getting together, so the line “we were just kids when we fell in love” is definitely suitable for us. We haven’t a dance move between us so we got a dance lesson beforehand off of a lovely local lady named Sandra, who ensured that we danced respectably.Our wedding band were the Soundz band, who are based in Waterford.
