Anna Diop wants to play Storm in the MCU. “Me and Nikyatu keep threatening to make Storm together, which is also a superhero. But with her doing it, it would be so elevated and so mind-blowing. So that's something we chat about from time to time.”

Titans star Anna Diop, who plays Starfire on the HBO Max drama, expresses interest in wanting to play Storm in the MCU. While the MCU hasn't wasted any time introducing some Mutants into the ever-growing universe, the X-Men have yet to make their entrance properly. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has already made it clear that the X-Men will be part of the MCU's future, including Deadpool 3, which will see the return of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In a recent interview with Slash Film, Titans actress Anna Diop, who has portrayed Kory Anders, a.k.a. Starfire since season 1, brought up an X-Men character she would want to play down the line. While promoting her new film, Nanny, which was directed by Nikyatu Jusu, Diop brought Storm as a superhero that she and the director would love to work on together.

"Me and Nikyatu keep threatening to make Storm together, which is also a superhero. But with her doing it, it would be so elevated and so mind-blowing. So that's something we chat about from time to time."Could Anna Diop Be Both Starfire And Storm? The question that remains, following Diop's comments, is whether she could be cast as Storm while still playing Starfire on Titans.

However, in Diop's case, it might not be a problem to do two superhero roles at the same time. At this point, Phases 5 and 6 are pretty packed already, with no X-Men projects currently line-up in The Multiverse Saga. With the exception of Deadpool 3, it wouldn't be shocking if Marvel Studios is planning to properly get into the X-Men lore at the start of Phase 7, which would be somewhere in 2025.

With Diop being one of the breakout stars of Titans, she would be an amazing fit for Storm, especially if the character was allowed to be introduced in their own MCU project and truly explore her history before the X-Men factor. Diop's performance as Starfire has even led to her being regularly mentioned in fan-casting for Storm, so there is definitely an interest among various audience members out there.
