TJ Reid is gearing up for his 19th Championship campaign at 37 years of age and is still very much part of Derek Lyng's Kilkenny plans.

The 37 year old seven-time All-Ireland winner is back for a 19th season on the Kilkenny panel and is still very much a key cog in Derek Lyng’s plans.

“So look, you're straight back into the club and then come November, December you sit down and you reflect on yourself and you reflect on Kilkenny. “So that's reassuring that when you're going back in the trust is there and the belief is there from management to player, and then you just excel from that.

“That decision comes in November. If it was in the immediate aftermath of last year's game you might have thought differently about it.
