Toll charges on the majority of Irish toll roads are set to rise to their"maximum" level from 1 January, 2023.In a statement on Thursday morning , Transport Infrastructure Ireland said the increases for next year are driven by the current rate of inflation.It also highlighted that the Consumer Price Index increased by 8.6% between August 2021 and August 2022 and that tolls cannot rise above this rate.

There are 10 toll roads on the national road network, eight of which are operated under a Public Private Partnership model.Advertisement
