Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos is set to retire from football after this summer's Euro 2024.
The veteran midfielder, who has been at the La Liga giants since the summer of 2014, has enjoyed a decorated career, winning almost every major honour available to him.
His impact has been huge, with Real president Florentino Perez hailing him as the club's transfer of the century, ahead ofThat's according to the player's agent Volke Struth, who spoke glowingly about Perez and in doing so, revealed what he said about Kroos."He is entrepreneurial but remains human. He explained to me why Toni Kroos is Real Madrid's transfer of the century.
"My life as a footballer - but especially as a person. It was the start of a new chapter at the biggest club in the world. After 10 years, at the end of the season this chapter comes to an end. I will never forget that insolent successful time! "At the same time this decision means that my career as an active footballer will end this summer after the Euro championship."I am happy and proud, that in my mind I found the right timing for my decision and that I could choose it by my own. My ambition was always to finish my career at the peak of my performance level.
