The top Carlisle-based chef will showcase his alternative take on a Sunday lunch favourite
Beef Wellington is a British classic and firm family favourite. The centuries-old dish, where a fillet steak is wrapped in puff pastry, is popular due to its simplicity and well-established place in traditional English menus.
"The beef will be marinated in spices and slow cooked over charcoal. I use ginger, garlic, onions and cinnamon and it will create beautiful fragrance. The flavours will be subtle. One key tip is to make sure all ingredients are completely cold before they are wrapped in the pastry. The Roux Scholarship-trained chef added: "It is long but worth the wait for the wow factor at the end and it is the prefect recipe for a Sunday lunch or gathering".
A further three venues in the region won Michelin Stars in the most recent round. Hrishikesh and the team at Farlam Hall have worked hard to make the venue "welcoming for everyone" and ideal for a special occasion, while being dedicated to offering "value for money"
