The new witness transcripts included hundreds of pages of testimony from several key people in the last days of the Trump administration, including former first daughter Ivanka Trump, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former White House counsel Pat Cipollone, Attorney General William Barr, and former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks. Mitch McConnell, who encouraged him to be"speaking out" after the election and help stop rumors and conspiracy theoriesThe revelation is likely to result in McConnell further drawing the ire of Trump, who has already made a habit of bashing the Kentucky Republican.
Meanwhile, both Pompeo and Barr said they did not remember talking with anyone about invoking the 25th amendment.
