The Premier League referee is set to be in charge tomorrow night watfordfc
Premier League referee Chris Kavanagh is set to take charge of Watford’s televised clash with Middlesbrough tomorrow evening when the Hornets will celebrate their centenary at Vicarage Road.
The Manchester-born official, who has been on the Select Group 1 list since the 2017/18 season, has refereed only one game so far this season, showing just the one yellow card in Reading’s 1-0 victory at Millwall on Saturday. Kavanagh’s last game in charge of Watford was in April 2021 when they beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
Dan Cook and Nick Hopton are due to be the assistant referees as Rob Edwards’ side bid to get back on track following Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to QPR, with Sunny Gill the fourth official.
