Simon Pegg describes his training regime as he prepares to start filming MI5 with Tom Cruise
He burst onto the showbiz scene in 1986 with his breakout role in Top Gun, sending audiences wild with exhilarating flight stunts and sending pulses racing with his shirtless beach and racy sex scenes.
Yet as MailOnline can reveal, Tom isn't the only star to be looking just as good now as when they first burst onto the showbiz scene... The singer, 59, took to his Instagram to share a video of him working out at the gym and lifting large weights. 'If I'm doing cardio, obviously I'm going to wear sweats because I'm going to be sweating all over the place. But if I'm lifting weights, I don't sweat so much.'
Lenny Kravitz recently caused a stir online after showing off his incredible physique and tough workout regime 'I trained with elite athletes, I trained with football players, NFL and NBA stars. I trained with MLB stars, wrestlers, boxers. I've played with them all,' he declared in the interview. 'I won't mention names, but they're all people you would know. And they'll tell you I train very seriously.'
Dolph Lundgren, 66 Dolph Lundgren also follows a five day training programme to stay in shape and has worked hard to maintain his impressive physique Despite having undergone double hip replacement surgery in April 2017, Dolph has bounced back and is determined to maintain his strength and stamina. 'Dolph eats clean and has really learned to relax. We will go to bed at 8pm and watch a movie and get up at six.
The singer, 72, gave fans an insight into his daily routing in 2021, and showed off the secret to his flat stomach with his exercise called a 'perpetual crunch' on TikTok He has credited his amazing shape to his diet, which consists of a lot of vegetables and grains, and aims to avoid toxins and processed food that contain preservatives as well as the low consumption of meat, dairy and sugar.
During an appearance on Lorraine in 2021, he said: 'I studied yoga for 30 years. But everything becomes yoga after a while.' Brad rocketed to fame in 1991 after appearing as a sexy cowboy in Thelma & Louise and quickly established himself as a heartthrob before becoming an A-list star While many in Hollywood have great mysteries to their ageless appearances, Brad has previously spoken about his stance on getting older.
During shooting for the film, Brad reportedly weighed around 70 kilos and had a body fat percentage of just 6 per cent. Simon Pegg has been inspired by his Mission: Impossible co-star Tom and undergone his own fitness transformation. Simon then shocked fans in 2019 when he unveiled a shirtless shot of himself showing off his rippling abs and slender frame after a jaw-dropping weight loss.
He also said that Tom was a huge fan of the look, nicknaming him 'eight-pack Peggles' - thanks to his lean torso. The actor, 52, previously sent the internet into meltdown when he unveiled his very unusual schedule in 2018, revealing his day starts at 2:30am and ends at 7:30pm and including sessions in a 'cyro chamber
But now he has backtracked on the punishing routine that baffled fans, saying it left him with 'the worst eating habits'. Now, instead of eating four full meals at 3.15am, 5.30am, 8am and then 10.30am, the Pain and Gain star has ditched the early morning starts and enjoys just one breakfast at a more human hour.
Now he works out five days a week, but says he tries to focus on rest and recovery and eating far less than he does and still has managed to keep one of Hollywood's most defined eight-packs. As a teenager, the actor, 56, began training in martial arts, football and diving, and even almost qualified for the Olympics.
His trainer for his latest film, The Beekeeper, James Moontasri said: 'Jason stays in phenomenal shape year round on his own, so he showed up in a great place. Sylvester Stallone is equally committed to his films and used to change his workout regime based on his main goal for his relevant projects. Even as he nears his 80th birthday, he has proved he is still able to do heavy weights, pull-ups and throw a serious punch.
And the actor, 55, looks just as ripped as he did when he first played the X-Men thanks to his dedicated regime. 'We broke the training into two phases: the bulk and the cut. I like to bulk as clean as possible, with a better end result in sight. The actor, 68, previously worked with Australian personal trainer Samantha Jackson to shed a staggering 14 kilograms in just eight weeks in 2018
The pair stayed in touch over the phone and eight weeks later Mel spoke of the amazing results he had seen.
