Top Irish director Jim Sheridan wants to make documentary about tragic Mr Moonlight murder
Major movie director Jim Sheridan went to the trial and may now bring the story of the gruesome murder a wider audience.
He also directed “The Field” which similar to the trial follows a difficult series of events in a small rural community. “I didn’t really want to pursue the family because I know everyone will be pursuing them but I think it would make a very interesting documentary”, he said.Mr Sheridan said that the jailed man seemed to be an “isolated” figure and that the impact of the trial would have had a big impact on the local community where they all lived.
Mrs Quirke who stood by her husband despite his affair with Mary Lowry was accompanied by three relatives.
