Leinster No.8 James Culhane suffered injury on the double v Connacht at the Dexcom Stadium but the former Ireland under-20s captain is hungry to make an impact again
The rising Leinster back row knew that things were happening for him as Leinster pitched up in Galway on the second of December. With the province's World Cup stars still to return after their efforts at France 2023, Culhane had seized his opportunity.

I think my hamstring is still somewhere around the 22-metre line of that pitch.”
“Then we scored a try and, right before I was to come off, I caught the kick-off, two lads jumped on my shoulder and I just went to step off my left leg and I felt it pop. I’ve never had an injury like that before so I knew there was something seriously wrong here. Now he believes he can earn a place in Leinster's star-studded back row after signing his first pro deal in the summer. "Yeah, I do," said the 21-year-old. "I think you always have to back yourself, first of all.
"But a lot of that comes down to me, personally, just being healthy as well. Last year I got a good run of games but then it ended after that." "Emerging Ireland was another stepping stone and to get more leadership experience, especially in that final game, which was huge," he said.
