The reality is that there is simply not enough housing stock in this country, and the blame is put in different places depending on who you ask. But there has been a very visible split in the party, with MPs like Simon Clarke calling for much more to be done. But in terms of specific policies specifically aimed at first-time buyers, not much has been announced - yet.
Policies include stopping councils from blanket 20mph enforcement, only permitting low traffic neighbourhoods with local consent, and starting a consultation on motorbikes using bus lanes.
