MPs will vote on Monday on whether to ban Boris Johnson from Parliament, Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt has confirmed.damning inquiry which found the former prime minister deliberately misled Parliament on multiple timesThe announcement ends speculation that the motion could be worded in a manner which would ask MPs only to “take note” of the report, rather than endorse it, which might have avoided a damaging Conservative split in the division lobbies.
Ms Mordaunt also urged people outside the Commons to “leave us alone” in the run up to the vote following threats from allies of Mr Johnson to deselect MPs who back the report.
