Tottenham’s Uruguayan midfielder has taken to social media with a public apology for teammate Son Heung-min after a comment he made during a television interview
Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has issued a grovelling apology to Son Heung-min after an awful joke on live TV.
Bentacur’s comments have garnered plenty of criticism and he has now taken to social media with an apology. Writing on his Instagram story, he said: “Sony brother! I apologise to you for what happened, it was just a very bad joke! You know that I love you and I would never disrespect you or hurt you or anyone else! I love you brother.”
"We stand with Sonny and once again call on the social media companies and authorities to take action." The FA also responded to the incident.
