These three new Deco wireless mesh systems from TP-Link include the latest wireless technology and mixes it with Power over Ethernet, outdoor access point and a new Powerline mesh product.
The Deco X50-Outdoor AX3000 is a dual-band mesh access point that can extend a Wi-Fi network into the garden or areas of a business, such as a yard or other open space. All the Deco Wi-Fi units offer smart roaming with AI-Driven mesh technology that enables users to seamlessly switch between individual Deco units that all use the same network name. The system is intelligent and easy to set up, making it possible to extend a Wi-Fi network almost anywhere.
The Deco X50-Outdoor uses ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 outdoors with speeds of up to 3.0Gbps wireless speed split between the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. Each unit can cover an area of up to 2,500 sq ft and handles up to 150 client devices.... [+]The Deco X50-Outdoor is certified waterproof and dustproof to withstand dust particles and heavy rain. Using PoE, outdoor installation is easy, enabling the unit to be mounted on a pole, wall or table.
Perhaps the most exciting unit of the three new Deco products is the PX50. This new Deco is the long-awaited successor to TP-Link’s excellent Deco P9 and combines dual-band Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 and G.hn Powerline 1500Mbps. Powerline sends data over a home or office’s electrical circuits using the wires like an Ethernet network. Powerline is ideal for buildings with thick walls that can hamper or restrict Wi-Fi signals.
The Deco PX50 provides Wi-Fi speeds up to 3.0Gbps, split across the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. A kit of three Deco PX50 units can wirelessly cover areas up to 6,500 sq ft and can handle up to 150 devices. Using the Powerline backhaul, the Deco PX50 adds a third lane for data to travel across, giving it the kind of performance you might get from a tri-band mesh router, establishing stronger connections between individual Deco units....
through even the thickest of walls by using the domestic electric circuit as a network for shifting data over wires.All three Deco units use the latest WPA3 encryption for sending data over Wi-Fi, plus there’s also TP-Link’s HomeShield built in for an extra layer of security. HomeShield can block- inappropriate content and includes a full suite of parental controls to protect family members from unwanted content.
