The building sustained little damage, but the vehicle was leaking fluids and the borough's fire department was called to clean up.
A vehicle hit the rear of a Giant grocery store in Camp Hill, requiring a response from police, fire and EMTs.“There’s an overhead canopy above a door, that looks like it might have been struck,” Simpson said. “But there’s no structural damage to the building.”
The impact was near the loading dock area at the rear of the building, briefly impacting traffic flow to the nearby LA Fitness located in the same shopping plaza. Simpson said that the driver had become lost and was attempting to turn around in the parking lot when the accident happened. The vehicle was leaking fluids, which Simpson said was identified as antifreeze falling out the radiator.
There were no major injuries, but EMTs did see to the driver, who was not identified. Police were unable to immediately respond to questions.
