Road traffic accident closes A82 Torlundy to Spean Bridge - latest updates
The A82 Torlundy to Spean Bridge remains closed in both directions due to a road traffic incident. The collision occurred around 8pm yesterday and the emergency services have been in attendance since that time.
Drivers were earlier told to use an alternate route although a local diversion has been implemented for small/light vehicles. All other vehicles are to use an alternative route at this time. The local diversion being implemented for small vehicles northbound is leaving at A830 to Banavie. Then a right at B8004 to Commando Memorial, rejoining the A82. Southbound is the same in reverse, although the route is not suitable for HGVs.
National roads information service Inrix updated at 11.43pm last night: "A82 in both directions closed due to accident between Highbridge turn-off and Tomacharich turn-off . It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the incident. It is also not known when the event will be cleared and the traffic patterns returned to normal in the area.
