The protest is in response to rising fuel prices
Haulers are set to make another trip to Dublin in protest of rising fuel prices in the country.second such protest in a monthThe protest was organised by the Irish Truckers & Haulage Association Against Fuel Prices via a post on Facebook.
"Phase 2 protest is on this coming Monday the 13th of December in line with the farmers who will protest on the 12th overnight," the group wrote. "We want a significant drop in fuel costs at the pump for everyone. We want VAT & Duty slashed and we also want the Carbon taxes slashed on the cost of fuel at the pump."Calling on the nation to get out on the streets and support us. Stand up and let your voice be heard enough is enough. Our country is suffering and we are been punished for the actions of our government," they concluded.The average price for unleaded petrol stands at 172.
Independent TD Richard O'Donoghue made headlines before the first protest by parking a lorry outside the front door of Leinster House.
