JP McManus-owned seven-year-old may not go in Aintree Grand National despite being made joint-favourite

The JP McManus-owned seven-year-old was the subject of strong support for April’s race on Tuesday, with William Hill making him the 10-1 joint-favourite from 25-1 alongside last year’s winner I Am Maximus , who also carries the green and gold of McManus. Another McManus runner, Iroko , is a 14-1 chance.
“Despite the fact he won a Kim Muir and a Grade One in Aintree last season, his jumping has been a lot better this year. “The blinkers certainly revved him up yesterday, but saying that I’ve noticed in the last two to three weeks that he’s started to come alive a bit, so it would be a little bit of a combination. Cromwell said: “She has been very disappointing to be honest because I thought she was going there in great form and her work was very good, but she never really went at all. She travelled with her head in the air and didn’t really want to know about it.
