British designer, Grace Wales Bonner, and Adidas has usurped Manolos in the shoe stakes, and the sound of ’80s tracksuits is a common sound in the hallways.
“ It’s often more sophisticated as it feels like it's been cut and tailored that adds to the daywear refinement to it,” says Naomi Smart, Commerce Director at British. “The first time I wore a pair of tracksuit bottoms with heels to fashion week I was laughed at – and that was only a few years ago. Now you see it everywhere.”
