Laura, the early eliminated contestant from The Traitors, discusses her strong personality and the resulting online backlash. She recounts her successful first night as a 'Traitor catcher' and expresses frustration with the personal attacks she has received, reminding viewers to be kinder and that the show is a game.
Laura may have only made it through three episodes in The Traitors, but she certainly made an impression! After catching a Traitor on night one, she cemented her place as a “Traitor catcher” and a very strong Faithful.
So she had to go. The Traitors murdered her on night two with Laura telling VIP Magazine that she knew she was “in the firing line”. With such a strong personality, she has received a fairly mixed opinion online. People either love her or hate her… And she wants to remind people to be a bit kinder online.
“I’m not everyone’s cup of tea because I’m champagne,” she tells us with a smile. “That’s the way I see it. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. And if I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, that’s totally fine.
”I suppose what I would like people to remember is that it is a game. And you’re only seeing a snapshot of people. It would be lovely if people could remember to be a little bit more kind.
“It’s totally fine if you didn’t agree with my strategy. The more personal stuff is a little bit more irritating. That has been the difficult side of it. ”The Traitors continues tonight on RTÉ One at 9:30pm
