Noah Diaz is an under-employed army vet looking for work and trying to care for his unwell younger brother. He accidentally crosses paths with a comical Autobot and is led headfirst into trouble, while Elena is an academic who becomes caught in the chase after a mysterious and powerful “time-warp key” falls into her care.

Heroic boss of the Autobots, Optimus Prime , and his fellow Good Guy robots are joined by Hasbro toy favourites the Maximals – wild animal-themed transformers led by, naturally, Optimus Primal . The stage is set for a gargantuan metal-against-metal clash, and Caple’s action set-pieces deliver, particularly when the fighting is set against the green exoticism of a far-flung jungle setting.
