James Flynn died surrounded by his loving family, wife Juanita Wilson and children Alex and Anna
Touching tributes have been paid following the passing of Irish film producer James Flynn, whose latest credit is the Oscar-nominated Banshees of Inisherin.He previously produced seminal Irish works such as Angela's Ashes, Veronica Guerin and the hugely popular RTÉ crime drama Love/Hate.The Irish Film Institute, of which Flynn was an esteemed council member, said they were deeply saddened to learn of his passing.
In 1997, he and his wife Juanita Wilson established Metropolitan Films, which to date has been involved with over 80 feature film and TV productions including Juanita’s Oscar-nominated The Door and critically acclaimed feature As If I Am Not There. Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin TD said she was "greatly saddened" after learning of the news of Mr Flynn's passing.
