Ruth Higgins, from Co Offaly, passed away peacefully last week surrounded by her family after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Frank, and their two children. Tributes poured in from the Camogie community, Birr Camogie Club, and friends and family who remembered her as a warm, intelligent, and gracious person.

On behalf of Birr Camogie Club we would like to express our deepest sympathies to our club secretary Frank Higgins on the passing of Ruth. Deepest sympathies to her daughter Wren a former Birr camogie player and their son Orey. May her kind gentle soul rest in peace.
"So sad to hear of Ruth's passing. Sympathies to Frank, Wren and Orey and all the extended families. Thinking of ye all at this most difficult of times. An absolute lady. May her gentle soul rip," added another.
