Campaigners have slammed 'horrendous' vandalism at the main memorial honouring Glasgow's war dead.

Last week it was noticed that graffiti had been scrawled on the side of the Cenotaph in George Square.

The campaign group is also petitioning to have the Scottish parliament introduce a distinct offence of desecrating a war memorial, as has been introduced in England.
