Former US President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to charges landed on him relating to attempts to thwart and overthrow the 2020 Presidential Election on top of the January 6 Capitol Riot.
He has been hit with charges of conspiracy to defraud the US, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy against the right to vote.The judge said: "Good afternoon, Mr Trump." A prosecutor for the government said: "This case will benefit from normal order, including a speedy trial."
After, Trump went to the airport to fly back to New Jersey. Before getting on he opined that it was a "sad day for America."
