Findings of an investigation, centred on the former Late Late presenter receiving an additional income of €75,000 per annum on top of his salaries in 2020 and 2021, came to light on Thursday
Ryan Tubridy has said he is “surprised” by RTÉ’s revelation of undisclosed payments worth €345,000 made to him in a six year period, saying he cannot “answer for [the broadcaster’s] mistakes”.
RTÉ released a lengthy statement on Thursday afternoon detailing the extent of the understated payments following reports of an investigation into financial and governance issues in the organisation in Covid-19.
