The advice has been updated due to a 'heightened risk of terrorism'
New guidance warns of a heightened risk of terrorism for parts of the popular holiday destination. Travellers from Glasgow and the rest of the UK are being warned that there is a risk of visitors being targeted or caught up in attacks, particularly in major cities, according to the advice.
"You should be especially vigilant and where possible avoid places frequented by Westerners, including diplomatic premises, places of worship, and around significant religious occasions and public holidays; terrorist groups sometimes call for attacks around these times.
