Sylvia and James were born in St Anns in 1931
A pair of fraternal twins from Nottinghamshire are set to turn the ripe old age of 92 this week. Sylvia and James ‘Jim’ Marshall were both born on Beverly Street, St Ann's on September 28, 1931, to Catherine and John Henry Marshall, as two of five children in total.
Sylvia’s earliest memories are also her saddest - her father going off to war. She says she “adored him”, and when he left their mother was required to look after them both as they stayed in St Ann’s.
