BREAKING: Two women have been arrested after they reportedly attempted to climb over a barrier during King Charles’s mini coronation.
It’s also not yet known if these are the same two people police say they arrested for a ‘breach of the peace’.
The video shows a young woman shouting to oppose ‘new oil and gas licenses’ and says the event is ‘not relevant to the people of Scotland’.Her outburst was met with a chorus of boos from nearby protesters trying to drown her out, as some chanted: ‘God save the King.’ She yelled: ‘The system is rigged against the people. Why are we giving the Honours of Scotland to an old man, before helping our children, our young people’s future?
‘This Is Rigged is shutting down the oil industry this summer. We will take action against this rigged system. The people in power are doing nothing.’Police Scotland tweeted: ‘Two women – aged 20 and 21 – have been arrested in connection with a breach of the peace after allegedly attempting to climb over a crowd safety barrier on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh.
