They appeared before Limerick Circuit Criminal Court

Two brothers were today remanded on continuing bail for trial, accused of assaulting a man, and being armed with hurleys during the course of the alleged attack.

The two accused siblings are each charged with assaulting a man, identified on charge sheets as Ciaran Ryan, causing Mr Ryan serious harm, at Ballyashea, Kildimo, on September 29, 2021, contrary to Section 4 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.READ MORE: Gardai to begin dig for missing boy Kyran Durnin amid fears he died two years ago

Prosecuting barrister, Lily Buckley, BL, said the case was a “priority” matter among a list of trials before the current sessions of the Limerick Circuit Criminal Court.
