Two people have died after a bus collided with a number of parked cars and hit a pedestrian in Co Cork this afternoon
It is understood the collision happened on the Strand Road in Monkstown in Cork Harbour when a Bus Éireann bus went out of control shortly after 1.30pmThe pedestrian, believed to be a local man in his 60s, was also pronounced dead at the scene.There were a number of passengers on board - they were uninjured but badly shaken.
Traffic diversions are likely to remain in place for the remainder of the day as a forensic crash investigation at the scene is carried out.
