Two Irish EuroMillions players won significant prizes in Friday night's draw, though neither matched all the winning numbers for the jackpot.
Two Irish players are celebrating after winning big in Friday night's EuroMillions draw. One player missed out on the jackpot of almost €53 million by just one number, but they can still collect €179,667 after matching all five main numbers and one of the two Lucky Stars. Another player matched all five main numbers but missed both Lucky Stars, winning €55,988. The winning numbers in the main draw were 12, 27, 36, 37, 42 and Lucky Stars 6 and 7.
The National Lottery is urging players in the Castleknock and Kanturk areas to check their tickets carefully. The winning €179k prize was sold at Spar in Carpenterstown, Castleknock in Dublin 15, while the €55k prize was purchased at Twohigs SuperValu on Strand Street in Kanturk, Cork. Both were quick pick tickets sold on the day of the draw. There was no winner of last night's EuroMillions jackpot, but next Tuesday's draw rolls to an estimated €60 million
