ANTIOCH — The California Highway Patrol closed two lanes on westbound Highway 4 early Monday after several law enforcement officials rushed to the scene.
Details on what occurred were not available immediately, but the CHP issued a Sig Alert for severe traffic and issued a traffic advisory and referred all queries to their Golden Gate division. The right two lanes were blocked at the Hillcrest Avenue exit near the Antioch BART station. The CHP said only that there was “police activity” at the location, and several patrol cars were in the area.
