Both Drogheda United and Treaty United have confirmed that that they are in the process of formalising takeovers.

Investment in top flight Drogheda has been on the cards for some time and the club’s board has officially paved the way for a 100% buyout from Wallsall’s American owners.

The 44-year-old will become the first female co-owner and CEO of a men or women’s League of Ireland club. Wesley Hill, Vice President of Trivela Group, will join the Drogheda Board as the Executive Director, overseeing day-to-day operations on behalf of the group. Benjamin Boycott, Managing Director of Trivela Group, said: "Drogheda United is a club poised for growth in a very high-potential league.

In the First Division, Treaty United have been taken over by McCormack and Canadian firm Tricor Pacific Capital Inc. McCormack is also the owner of TOPP Soccer, a US based organisation that helps high school players win university scholarships.
