Two men have been arrested after an armed robbery at a shop in Inchicore in Dublin 8 this morning

The incident took place at around 8am this morning, when two men armed with knives entered the shop on the Tyrconnell Road and demanded cash from the staff.

Gardaí on patrol in the area received a report of the incident and intercepted the men as they attempted to flee the building with the cash and other stolen items. Both men, aged in their 30s and 60s, were arrested at the scene and taken to Kevin Street Garda Station, where they are currently being held.
