Police have released a statement
Two men have been arrested after Nottinghamshire Police stopped a car and found a large amount of suspected Class A drugs. On Friday, November 18, officers on patrol spotted two men behaving suspiciously in the vehicle at around 9pm on North Sherwood Street, Radford.
Officers pulled over the car on Forest Road East shortly after. They detained the pair and found large quantities of cash in the men's pockets. When they searched inside the vehicle a quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs were discovered. The two men were arrested and further large amounts of suspected Class A, B and C drugs were found when officers later searched an address linked to the the two men on North Sherwood Street.Significant quantities of cash, drug paraphernalia and high value property were also recovered.
Detective Sergeant Simon Carter, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was an excellent piece of police work by the officers on patrol in Radford last night and has allowed us to recover large quantities of suspected drugs and criminal property. I am pleased these two suspects have been arrested and our investigation continues."
