The incident happened at around 1am. Gardaí on patrol in the city centre were alerted to two incidents involving a number of individuals on Cathal Brugha Street and O’Connell Street Upper.A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for serious injuries sustained in this incident. No other injuries have been reported.Gardaí are looking to speak with any individuals who were in the Cathal Brugha Street area, near the Living Room Bar, between 12.
