Two men in their 20s have died in a road crash in Co Mayo.
The collision between a car and an articulated lorry occurred just before midnight on the N60 Balla to Claremorris road at Facefield.
Two men travelling in the car were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies have been removed to Mayo University Hospital, where post-mortem examinations will take place.The road has been closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly road users with camera footage , to contact Castlebar Garda Station on 094 903 8200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
