Two men rushed to hospital with 'serious injuries' after being hit by car on Christmas Eve
Two male pedestrians in Dublin have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car hit into them on Christmas Eve.
The were both taken to the Mater Hospital with injuries that have been described as "serious". The woman who was driving the car escaped injury. A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and two pedestrians that occurred at approximately 6:45pm on Saturday 24th December 2022 on Collins Avenue in Dublin 9.
"The road is currently closed in order for a technical examination of the scene to be conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place."Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the Collins Avenue area between 6:30pm and 7pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
