Gareth Southgate has whittled down his England squad for Euro 2024 Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah will miss out on selection for Gareth Southgate’s 26-man England squad for Euro 2024, along with Tottenham star James Maddison. The uncapped Liverpool duo had both been included in the Three Lions’ 33-man preliminary squad announced on May 21, though had always appeared outsiders for the party set to travel to Germany later this month.
Jones and Quansah will not be on the plane to Germany this summer England’s final 26-man squad is expected to be officially unveiled on Saturday, with four more players set to be axed, in addition to Maddison, Jones and Quansah. Southgate’s men – one of the hot favourites ahead of Euro 2024 – kick off their campaign against Group C rivals Serbia on June 16, before facing Denmark four days later. The Three Lions’ final group-stage match comes against Slovenia on June 25.
