Gene Hackman, who is one of the most respected actors of his generation, has sadly passed away alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa, with no foul play suspected in their deaths
Two-time Oscar winner and author Gene Hackman has tragically been found dead alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa.
Hackman, 95, won his first Academy Award for his portrayal of Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle in The French Connection in 1971. The Californian born acting legend went on to scoop his second Oscar for Western 'Unforgiven' in 1993. Gene tied the knot with Betsy in 1991, though they shied away from the limelight. In his later years, he made infrequent public appearances, looking fragile during outings.
